All About Me:
Hi, I’m Kathrine. I’m usually the first person you’ll meet at Amsterdam Experiences, most often through an email or a message. I work quietly behind the scenes, coordinating tours, staying in close touch with our guides, and making sure all the small details come together smoothly for our guests.
I was born in the UK and came to Amsterdam after falling in love with its stories. I enjoy wandering down new streets, returning to familiar neighbourhoods, and noticing how history settles into everyday life. That gentle sense of discovery often shapes how new ideas and routes begin to take form.
I have a particular affection for Amsterdam’s Jewish history and for the story of Anne Frank, which first brought me here. These themes have quietly influenced many of the experiences we create, weaving together well-known places with lesser-known corners and human stories.
I guide only occasionally, but I love creating tours and putting experiences together, thinking about how stories connect and how each visit can feel thoughtful and personal. For me, it’s about listening carefully and helping time in the city unfold in a calm, unhurried way.
You can take the following tours with me:
My favourite place in Amsterdam is the quay at NDSM, a former shipyard in the north of the city that has grown into a creative and cultural space. I sit there and watch the sun go down over the water, as ferries glide past and the light shifts almost without notice. It is a place where Amsterdam feels quieter and more open, giving me time to pause, to think, and simply to observe the city as it unfolds around me.
