We started Amsterdam Experiences as a way to share our passion for Amsterdam. We like to show people our city, through the eyes of a local. We organize high-quality private tours so you can explore the city in an exclusive way. We stay in close contact with you to ensure that your personal experience will be an unforgettable one.
We work with highly experienced, professional and local guides who are sure to add a unique and personal touch to your visit to Amsterdam. Our friendly and knowledgeable guides will make you feel part of the city.
Our ever-expanding team of guides is an eclectic group of people – each with his/her own style. All our Group Experiences are English-speaking. Private tours can be held in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French.

Born in Delft and grew up in Gouda, Stephan is a real Dutchie. After a career in Technology as an Online Strategist, he decided to leave behind the corporate world to start Amsterdam Experiences. He found out that cycling around the city with international visitors is a lot more fun than a desk job!
As a host, he loves to show his guests hidden gems in Amsterdam through the eyes of a local. He has a passion for telling stories about Dutch history and culture.

Vince moved to Amsterdam 10 years ago for college and has never left. He is a born story-teller and the people on his tour love the personal attention they receive from Vince. He combines years of public speaking in Consulting with his passion for people and history.
Vince captivates his audience with interesting stories – often with a personal twist. His true talent is his ability to make everyone laugh. He might even throw in a dad joke here and there.

Violeta is a Spanish architect and artist based in Amsterdam since 2015. She combines her passion of storytelling and architecture in her interactive tours.
Violeta has over six years of experience as a tour guide in Madrid and Amsterdam. Yet, her energy has stayed as high as her first day. She can host tours in English, Spanish, and French. Whichever one she speaks, you are sure to see her energy and smile!

Louke has lived in Amsterdam for over 20 years. She was captured by the city’s magic the day she arrived. Her family has its roots in the city and has always loved their stories about the city.
Louke is a history fanatic and made it her personal goal to be able to answer any possible question that is asked; are you up for the challenge? She is a warm, entertaining, and interested person. She will make your tour a personal experience you will treasure forever.

Also known as: Guido the Guide. Born and raised in Amsterdam’s famous Jordaan district, right next to the Anne Frank House. Guido has been a tour guide for years (we lost count).
He combines his passion for the city with a life of writing theater, comedy, music, and screenplays. He also performs as an actor and comedian. With an unquestioned love for his hometown, Guido likes to welcome all visitors and shares his view on the ever-changing beautiful city of Amsterdam.

As a former journalist, Monique has a really broad interest and that’s also what you’ll find in her tours. She’s full of stories, fun facts and can walk through the city (almost) blindfolded.

Dennis grew up in the Dutch countryside. After travelling the world he decided to move to Amsterdam 15 years ago.
He has a wide and deep knowledge of the city. Having been a guide in Amsterdam for years, he knows the city like the back of his hand.
Dennis is a culture, food, and history lover. When you join him on his tour, you will feel like you are out with a friend. He’ll gladly share all his favorite hangouts with you.

Roser studied Translation and Interpreting at the Universitat Autònoma in Barcelona, spending one academic year at the Universiteit van Amsterdam where she fell in love with this city and our bikeculture. After a decade working in tourism, she became a tour guide in 2012.
Her passion is to bring History, Art History, Architecture and current facts to interested learners. She likes to take our guest into the famous Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum.

As son of a captain traveling through the country, his home port has always been Amsterdam.
His nomadic roots brought him to all corners of the world, where he worked as a guide in over 20 countries. Vincent has combined his travels with teaching high-school bilingual Geography in the lovely town of Haarlem. He lives in the hip North of Amsterdam with his three sons and his wife.

Martin (also a high school geography teacher) has a passion for telling stories and knows the city’s history inside out.
Using his fast knowledge of geography, he provides an interesting angle to the city. Martin speaks Dutch, English, and is fluent in Spanish (and even some Basque). He is the father of two little girls, but still has time to play in a band and is maybe our most enthusiast guide.

Claire has a creative and fun way of looking at things and loves inviting people to question and wonder while exploring this fascinating city. With a background in theatre, improvisation, puppetry and story telling she combines her past experiences to give visitors a wonder-full adventure that is specially made for them.

With her “James Bond” car, she picks up her guests and starts a visit to the countryside to visit fishing villages, castles or a fortified town.

Lloyd, born and raised in the redeveloped Amsterdam eastern harbour area, by an English mother and a Dutch father. He studies Architecture, following in his father’s footsteps, and has a keen interest in the history, the urban planning, the architecture, and -of course- the small old bars and cafés of Amsterdam.
Lloyd is a true Amsterdammer and already an experienced local guide. Having worked at the Westerkerk and Oude kerk tower, he has gathered a broad knowledge of the city’s history and architecture, the old as well as the contemporary. Combined with his up-beat character it makes him an enthusiastic storyteller!

Born in Italy, nourished with art in Paris and under the spell of Amsterdam since 2015, Paola is an experienced art historian guide. She likes to describe herself as an art-addict and loves sharing her passion with her captivating guided tours. She strolled the museums countless times and yet, the excitement is still there…and she’s make sure you feel that too!

Els has wandered the world for years. Now she enjoys meeting people from all over the globe in her home town The Hague and Delft, as a guide. She enjoys everything these great town have to offer her. The vibrant history, great parks and beaches, the beautiful parliament and museums, royal gossip and so many activities, she carries this message with a infectious enthusiasm. All the while looking for a connection with guests, of history and present, she will make sure you will have a good time while leaving no questions of these beautiful towns unanswered.
