Streetart Frankey in the centre of Amsterdam

Still there, as far as we know
This work pays tribute to André Hazes, the Amsterdam singer who became the voice of the Dutch levenslied, heartfelt songs about love, loss and life in the city. Born in 1951 and raised in De Pijp, Hazes remained hugely popular long after his death in 2004, and his songs are still sung in bars and football stadiums across the Netherlands.
This Streetart Frankey artwork is on André Hazes, in the centre of Amsterdam.
It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 73 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
