Streetart Frankey in Amsterdam Oost
Still there, as far as we know
Blijdag, Dutch for 'Happy Day', is the name Frankey came up with together with local children and parents for a new inclusive playground. They also created its mascot Rollie, a superhero whose magnetic roller skate lets him glide over any surface, even ceilings.
Blijdag is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Fizeaustraat, in Amsterdam Oost.
It is one of 28 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Oost. No other known works are within a short walk, so this one is worth a trip of its own.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Het Parool wrote about this work in its Streetart Frankey column: read the article (in Dutch).
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
