Streetart Frankey in the centre of Amsterdam
A Ghostbuster on the Czaar Peterstraat
Still there, as far as we know
Bust the Ghost brings a Ghostbuster to the eastern edge of the centre. The 1984 comedy Ghostbusters, starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis as a team of New York ghost catchers, grew into a long-running franchise, and its proton packs and catchy theme song are still instantly recognised.
Bust The Ghost is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Czaar Peterstraat, in the centre of Amsterdam.
It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 4 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Het Parool wrote about this work in its Streetart Frankey column: read the article (in Dutch).
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
