About Cupido

Cupido, Dutch for Cupid, is a 2023 Frankey piece in the Jordaan. The Roman god of desire and love is usually shown as a winged boy with a bow and arrow, and his arrows are said to make anyone they hit fall in love.

Cupido is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Eerste Marnixplantsoen, in the centre of Amsterdam. It appeared in 2023.

It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 16 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.

Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.

Het Parool wrote about this work in its Streetart Frankey column: read the article (in Dutch).
