Streetart Frankey in Amsterdam West
Electric Fly Swatter stood at the Westergas site in the Westerpark, a former gasworks turned cultural park. The racket-shaped zapper is a familiar summer weapon against mosquitoes and flies.
Electric Fly Swatter is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Klönneplein 1, in Amsterdam West.
It is one of 111 Streetart Frankey works on our map in West. 2 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Visitors or our own team have reported that this work is no longer there. Street art is temporary by nature, and Frankey's small sculptures are sometimes removed or taken. We keep the spot on the map so you can see where it was, and the works listed below are still in place nearby.
Het Parool wrote about this work in its Streetart Frankey column: read the article (in Dutch).
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
