Streetart Frankey in the centre of Amsterdam
Still there, as far as we know
Frankey pays tribute to his childhood hero Jean-Claude Van Damme with a figure of himself as a window cleaner doing the famous epic split. The Belgian action star's 2013 split between two reversing Volvo trucks became a viral sensation. The piece was made with Stadsherstel for the facade of De Duif, a former church on the canal, and was cast by the Bronsgieterij Atelier 80 foundry.
Epic Window Washing is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Prinsengracht, in the centre of Amsterdam.
It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 32 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
