Streetart Frankey in Amsterdam West
Still there, as far as we know
This is Frankey's tribute to Extince, the Dutch rapper often credited as a pioneer of Dutch-language hip hop. It sits at the Sander's Meubels tram stop, a stop Extince mentions in one of his songs, so fans of Dutch rap will recognise the reference straight away.
Extince is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Overtoom, in Amsterdam West.
It is one of 111 Streetart Frankey works on our map in West. 59 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Het Parool wrote about this work in its Streetart Frankey column: read the article (in Dutch).
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
