About Henri Pronker

This statue honours Henri Pronker, the free-spirited rollerskater who glided through Amsterdam in little more than a bare-bottomed outfit in the 1980s and 1990s. Frankey placed him on the Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat, where he first saw Pronker skate, and shows him making a heart with his hands. It was unveiled on 11 August 2025, which would have been Pronker's 69th birthday.

This Streetart Frankey artwork is on Henri Pronker, in Amsterdam West.

It is one of 111 Streetart Frankey works on our map in West. 73 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.

Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
