Streetart Frankey in Amsterdam West
Reinier Claeszenstraat
Still there, as far as we know
Hold the Presses is a giant bronze mailbox on the facade of the former Senefelder printing house, with an impossibly long centrefold hanging out. At the bottom, a life-sized Frankey studies the pages like a child with a freshly delivered magazine. The 2026 work was made with Kroonenberg Groep and honours the building's printing past.
Hold The Presses is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Admiraal de Ruijterweg 24, in Amsterdam West. It appeared in 2026.
It is one of 111 Streetart Frankey works on our map in West. 3 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Het Parool wrote about this work in its Streetart Frankey column: read the article (in Dutch).
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
