Streetart Frankey in the centre of Amsterdam
Still there, as far as we know
Jean Claude van AmsterDamme is one of Frankey's early works, from 2015. The title is a pun on Jean-Claude Van Damme, the Belgian martial artist and action star known as the Muscles from Brussels, blended with the name of Amsterdam.
Jean Claude Van Amsterdamme is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Oosterdoksstraat, in the centre of Amsterdam. It appeared in 2015.
It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 11 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
