Streetart Frankey in Amsterdam Zuid
Inside the Moco Museum
Still there, as far as we know
Made for A Way of Thinking, the Moco Museum exhibition marking ten years since the death of Johan Cruijff, the Amsterdam-born genius of Ajax and the Dutch national team. Frankey took his inspiration from Cruijff's famous 1972 lob against FC Den Haag and from the strap of his shin guard, which Cruijff lifted and Frankey turns into a string of pennants.
Johan Cruijff is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Moco Museum, in Amsterdam Zuid.
It is one of 99 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Zuid. 65 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
