Streetart Frankey in Amsterdam Oost
Still there, as far as we know
A flamingo has found a home on the KNSM-laan, the main avenue of KNSM Island in the Eastern Docklands. Frankey titled the 2024 work simply Flamingo. The pink wading bird, famous for standing on one leg, is a playful guest in this former harbour area, where old shipping warehouses have been turned into apartments.
This Streetart Frankey artwork is on KNSM-laan, in Amsterdam Oost. It appeared in 2024.
It is one of 28 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Oost. No other known works are within a short walk, so this one is worth a trip of its own.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Het Parool wrote about this work in its Streetart Frankey column: read the article (in Dutch).
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
