Streetart Frankey in Amsterdam Oost
Still there, as far as we know
A miniature Rembrandt, the Dutch Golden Age master behind The Night Watch. Born in Leiden in 1606, he spent most of his career in Amsterdam, where his former house and many of his best-known paintings can still be seen today.
Mini Rembrandt is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Mauritskade, in Amsterdam Oost.
It is one of 28 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Oost. 6 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
