About Monjeu Boules

Monjeu Boules is in the sculpture garden of the Moco Museum, the modern art museum on the Museumplein. Frankey thought the garden's gravel looked like a jeu de boules pitch, and the work is a tribute to Jeu de Boules in Meddo, a 2016 video that went viral in the Netherlands. The title mixes Moco and jeu.

Monjeu Boules is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Museumplein, in Amsterdam Zuid.

It is one of 99 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Zuid. 65 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.

Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.

Het Parool wrote about this work in its Streetart Frankey column: read the article (in Dutch).
