About Pee-Tree

This is the original pee-tree from 2005, an idea that has been copied many times since. The tree came with built-in speakers that played the roar of Niagara Falls when it was flushed, a joke on Amsterdam's long tradition of open-air urinals.

Pee-Tree is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Ringweg, in Amsterdam West.

It is one of 111 Streetart Frankey works on our map in West. No other known works are within a short walk, so this one is worth a trip of its own.

Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
