Streetart Frankey in the centre of Amsterdam
Still there, as far as we know
Scrooge McDuck, known in the Netherlands as Oom Dagobert, is the richest duck in the world and Donald Duck's famously tight-fisted uncle. Created by Carl Barks for Disney in 1947, he is especially popular in the Netherlands, where the weekly Donald Duck comic has been read by generations of children.
SCROOGE McDUCK is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Eerste van Swindenstraat, in the centre of Amsterdam.
It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 2 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
