Streetart Frankey in the centre of Amsterdam
Still there, as far as we know
Minnie Mouse is caught taking a selfie at one of the most photographed spots in Amsterdam. Walt Disney's character first appeared alongside Mickey in Steamboat Willie in 1928 and is instantly recognisable by her bow and polka-dot dress. Frankey installed the piece from a boat on the Amstel.
Selfie Minnie Mouse is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Magere Brug, in the centre of Amsterdam.
It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 21 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
