Streetart Frankey in Amsterdam Zuidoost
Still there, as far as we know
This balcony sign marks 70 years since Sjaak Swart, known as 'Mister Ajax', made his debut for the club. Styled like an Amsterdam street sign, it shows Sjaak in his Ajax kit, and the title kicks the BAL, Dutch for ball, out of the word balkon. Swart played more matches for Ajax than anyone and won three European Cups with the club.
Sjaak Swart Balkon is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Sportpark De Toekomst, in Amsterdam Zuidoost. It appeared in 2026.
It is one of 9 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Zuidoost. 1 other work is still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
