Streetart Frankey in the centre of Amsterdam
Reported gone
Frankey made this work for his appearance on Ivo Niehe's television show on AVROTROS. In 1984 his childhood heroes, The A-Team, were guests on Ivo's show, and Frankey gave that old interview a spot on the street. Niehe is one of the best-known Dutch television presenters, and The A-Team was a hugely popular American action series in the 1980s.
The A-Team & Ivo Niehe is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Prins Hendrikkade, in the centre of Amsterdam.
It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 14 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Visitors or our own team have reported that this work is no longer there. Street art is temporary by nature, and Frankey's small sculptures are sometimes removed or taken. We keep the spot on the map so you can see where it was, and the works listed below are still in place nearby.
Het Parool wrote about this work in its Streetart Frankey column: read the article (in Dutch).
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
