Streetart Frankey in the centre of Amsterdam
Still there, as far as we know
A tribute to Willy Alberti, the Amsterdam singer who sang in both Dutch and Italian and was one of the great voices of the Jordaan. He recorded a song about this very square, so Frankey placed his homage on the spot he sang about. Alberti was also the father of the singer Willeke Alberti.
Willy Alberti is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Rembrandtplein, in the centre of Amsterdam.
It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 32 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
