Streetart Frankey in the centre of Amsterdam
Still there, as far as we know
Woodini, Frankey's wooden take on escape artist Harry Houdini, returns here to perform the crane kick from The Karate Kid. In the 1984 film, Daniel LaRusso wins the final with the one-legged move taught to him by Mr. Miyagi, and it has been imitated in playgrounds ever since.
Woodini Crane Kick is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Mr. Visserplein, in the centre of Amsterdam.
It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 19 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
