Streetart Frankey in Amsterdam Zuid
Still there, as far as we know
Yellow Submarine, from 2024, is a nod to the Beatles song of the same name, which Ringo Starr sang on the 1966 album Revolver. The cheerful singalong later gave its name to the band's animated film, and its bright submarine is one of the best-known images of the 1960s. A quay beside the water is a fitting berth.
Yellow Submarine is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Sloterkade, in Amsterdam Zuid. It appeared in 2024.
It is one of 99 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Zuid. 16 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
