We booked a private tour with Stephan in Haarlem. I had been viewing his virtual tours for years, and it was a treat to meet him and have our own tour. We loved the pace of the tour, no rush, no crowds. We were able to walk many places in Haarlem, even had a beer in a church! I would highly recommend Stephan and his company.

Ideal Way to End An Amazing Journey Amsterdam is an amazing city. It's fascinating and important place in European history, evidenced with the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank Haus, canal rides etc, make Amsterdam equal to, or better, than Paris, Rome, and London. In our five glorious days we thought we had done it all, so on our last day in Amsterdam and our trip, my wife booked the perfect ending with the Craft Beer Tour 🍺. First and foremost, our guide Michael, was far and above the best guide we had not just in Amsterdam, but our entire 18 day European trip. Not only was he the most, friendly and interesting, but his vast and expansive knowledge in not just the Amsterdam craft beer scene but in Dutch art, architecture, cultural history knew no bounds. Add to that, the best beers my wife and I have ever enjoyed, made this one of the highlights of our vacation. This established, we enthusiastically give our highest recommendation to Michael and we personally thank him for concluding our trip with an unexpected highlight of our amazing journey.

Christian was an absolute delight as our tour guide. Super knowledgeable about Amsterdam and its history but did not turn the tour into a recitation of dates and facts. His real life experience living on the canals helped us to understand what day today life in Amsterdam looks like. Touring with Christian was like touring with a longtime friend delighted to show you his town. The kind of guy you want to have a beer with…so we did and that was great too! Highly recommend

Interesting and informative Sarah was very engaging and knowledgeable. She was animated with her story telling and held your interest. The VR element was really good too. You could get a little dizzy if you moved too fast, but it really brought everything to life. The only tiny negative is that it advertises a drink at the end, which included beer and wine, but we're only offered coke or water. A glass of wine would have finished the experience off nicely. We were all too polite to mention it. Overall, well worth it and I think it's better than visiting Anne Frank house.

Walking tour with Michael the Cheese Lover was AMAZING Loved the Cheese Lover tour! While he offers private tours, mine was not a private tour. There were eight of us in all. We enjoyed a casually paced walk through the city visiting two cheese shops and ending in a 300+ year old pub for the final tasting session. Throughout the tour we were invited to ask questions while Michael talked cheese and shared heartwarming and hilarious stories with us. He also pointed out landmarks of interest and various non-cheese related recommendations along the way. The vibe was friendly and educational, no sales pitches. Michael explained Dutch cheeses, cheese shops, transporting the cheese, what to look for in the types of cheese, what makes a good cheese board, the different cheese knives, how to cut/serve cheese and pairing with beer and wine. I don’t drink alcohol, but others in the group were very impressed and somewhat surprised (pleasantly) with his suggestions. Michael is approachable, entertaining, and knowledgeable. I recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys authentic experiences!

Amsterdam Walking Beer Tour August 2025 We had an incredible experience on our private Amsterdam beer tour with Kasse as our guide. From the very beginning, Kasse made us feel welcome and comfortable, blending local knowledge with a genuine passion for beer and the city’s brewing culture. The tour was the perfect mix of history, storytelling, and, of course, tasting! Each stop offered something unique—whether it was a hidden craft spot we never would have found on our own or a historic pub with centuries of tradition. Kasse kept the pace relaxed and engaging, tailoring the experience to our group’s interests and making sure everyone had a great time.Beyond the beer itself, what stood out most was Kasse’s enthusiasm and expertise. He shared fascinating insights about Amsterdam’s brewing heritage, modern craft scene, and even local tips that gave us a deeper appreciation for the city. This was a highlight of our trip, and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants more than just a typical tourist experience. If you’re looking for a fun, authentic, and personalized way to explore Amsterdam through its beers—ask for Kasse.

We had a blast learning about the history of the city and the oldest bars in town. Our tour guide Michael was amazing! He suggested certain beers and foods for us to try and we even ordered a second helping of the spicy meatballs! This was such a fun experience and Michael was very professional and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend the tour and our guide Michael!

Great alternative if you can't get tickets to the Anne Frank House, if not more informative... Since we unfortunately didn’t get tickets to the Anne Frank Museum, we tried this tour spontaneously – and were really surprised. Initially we thought it would be close at 10am, but we could easily change to 2pm.Our guide case was totally likable and with a lot of background knowledge brought the story very much alive. The highlight was definitely the VR glasses, which were even set to German – which made the experience even more intense and much more tangible for us.We felt that with the tour and the knowledge we got, we were better off than if we had just visited the museum. The atmosphere was relaxed, informative and simply different – and as a nice extra there was a free drink at the end. My husband loved a delicious beer at the end.

He also helped us with further more questions. We recommend this tour and our guide for a great experience in Amsterdam.

“Sip, Savor, and Discover – the beer tour where great taste meets unforgettable moments Absolutely fantastic tour! Kees was truly the star of the show—an incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and fun guide who made this one of the highlights of my solo trip to the Netherlands. Whether you’re new to beer or a seasoned enthusiast, this tour offers fascinating insights into the history, ingredients, and traditions of beer making, as well as some friendly regional rivalries. Our group of five, including four lively gentlemen and myself (the only female and a total novice), came together quickly—and the beer certainly helped! I felt completely safe and welcome the entire time, and we shared so many laughs along the way.We visited four unique bars and sampled a great variety of beers. Kees made thoughtful recommendations tailored to our tastes, making sure everyone had a memorable experience. I can’t recommend this tour—and Kees—highly enough! A must-do for anyone visiting the Netherlands.
