Streetart Frankey in the centre of Amsterdam
Still there, as far as we know
Aladdin arrived at the Oosterdok, the harbour basin next to the Central Station, in 2025. The tale of the young man with a magic lamp, a genie and a flying carpet was added to the Arabian Nights in the eighteenth century and has been retold many times since, most famously by Disney.
Aladdin is a Streetart Frankey artwork on Oosterdok, in the centre of Amsterdam. It appeared in 2025.
It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 9 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.
Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
Het Parool wrote about this work in its Streetart Frankey column: read the article (in Dutch).
Our guides know where Frankey's pieces hide. Ask us for a private street art walking tour and we will build the route around the art, Frankey's work very much included.
