Amsterdam Experiences started in 2016 with one guide showing visitors around his own neighbourhood at weekends. We have grown to more than 30 guides since then, but the idea has not changed: exploring with us should feel like being shown around by a friend who lives here.
Our guides are locals with real stories: art historians, journalists, musicians, photographers. We match you with the one who fits your group, and they adapt as the day goes, slowing down, skipping ahead or following a detour that catches your eye.

There is no standard route, so your guide will adjust in real time based on what you enjoy most. We also combine multiple experiences into one day, for example a morning city walk followed by a Rijksmuseum visit and an afternoon canal cruise called the Ultimate Amsterdam in a Day Tour.
Yes, we have extensive experience organising private shore excursions for guests arriving by cruise ship at the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam and other Dutch ports. We arrange private pickup directly from the ship, design a programme that fits your time in port, and ensure you are back on board with time to spare. Our shore excursion experience covers Amsterdam city tours, Dutch countryside visits, and multi-city day trips.
Our team of guides covers multiple languages. Please mention your language preference when making your enquiry and we will match you with the most suitable guide for your group. At this moment we have guides who can do tours in English, Spanish, French, Dutch and German.
