About Smurf

A Smurf has moved into Amsterdam. The little blue creatures were created by the Belgian cartoonist Peyo in 1958 and became a global hit through comics, a long-running cartoon series and films, with a whole generation of Dutch children growing up with their songs.

This Streetart Frankey artwork is on Smurf, in the centre of Amsterdam.

It is one of 184 Streetart Frankey works on our map in Centrum. 15 other works are still in place within about ten minutes on foot, so this one is easy to combine with a short Frankey walk.

Frankey's pieces are small and easy to walk past. Once you reach the spot, look up and around: at drainpipes, street signs, bollards and window ledges. If you visit and the work has gone, please tap Gone on its card on the map, so we can keep the map up to date for everyone.
