What makes our private Amsterdam tours so unique?

When we plan our tours, it with a ‘people first’ approach, focusing on human connections rather than endless lists of facts and dates. Amsterdam FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

How long is a private tour in Amsterdam?

A private Amsterdam tour can start at 2 hours, for a very brief introduction to the city. We recommend a tour of at least 3 or 4 hours to give the best overview of Amsterdam and if you combine tours, a full day (up to 8 hours) can be arranged.

You can request a duration that fits your schedule, and we are happy to adjust the timing to your plans.

Can we be picked up from a location outside of Amsterdam?

Yes. We can arrange a transfer that can pick you up and bring you into the city, for example, if you are arriving at the airport or a distant cruise terminal.

Are Amsterdam private tours suitable for families?

Yes. Our guides can adapt the activities and pace so children stay engaged, and they love designing tours that work well for guests of all ages. We can include parks, cafés, intriguing stops, and routes that keep the day relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.

Can we customise the itinerary?

Yes. Every tour can be fully customised to your requirements. If you want to visit a windmill, see a favourite painting in a museum, drop into a particular shop, or find a location you have seen online (we can’t show you AI locations though!), we can curate a tour that meets your interests.

Do you offer private transport?

Due to the city-wide restrictions on motor vehicles and parking, it is not possible to use a car within the centre of Amsterdam. However, we can use the fantastic public transport system, which includes trams and a metro service, if walking is an issue.

Do you have guides that speak other languages?

Our tours are offered in English as standard, and many of our guides also speak Dutch, German, French, Spanish or Portuguese. If you need a specific language, we can often arrange it by request.

Can you pick-up from a hotel, airport or cruise port?

Yes. We can meet you at a central location that suits you, including hotels, stations, river cruise ports, ocean cruise terminals, and Schiphol Airport.

What is included in a private tour?

Our tours include a fully personalised itinerary, your very own local private guide, a dynamic tour route, and plenty of time for spontaneous stops and fun. We can also add museum entrance tickets, food stops, or transfers, depending on the tour you select.

How much does a private tour in Amsterdam cost?

Our private tours are priced per group, not per person, so the cost is shared. Private tours start from around 500 euros for a half day, with the exact price depending on the tour, its length, your group size and any extras. We always confirm a fixed price before you book.

Are private tours worth it?

If you want to skip the crowds, set your own pace and get real local insight rather than a one-size-fits-all group tour, then yes. The guide and the day are entirely yours – you can focus on what interests you, ask anything, and change the plan as you go. It’s the difference between seeing Amsterdam and understanding it.
