At Keukenhof Castle, you will be able to enjoy over 100 different varieties of Dahlia showcased in their Dahlia Days festival. At the nearby Tulperij dahlia show garden you will find more than 600 types of dahlia and you can even even pick your own bunch of flowers to take away with you.
Period: mid October until mid March 2027
Now you don’t have to wait until Spring to experience our glorious tulip tours, as we can give you a touch of colour even in the darkest of winter days. No need to worry about the weather either, as this experience is indoors so everyone will stay warm and dry. This tour visits an indoor tulip grower who has flowers from October right through to March. You’ll experience the full process required to grow tulips indoors.
After enjoying the flowers, step back in time as you visit working windmills, learn traditional crafts like clog-making, and taste Dutch cheeses fresh from the farm. Your guide will take you to the windmills of Zaanse Schans. Here you can visit a traditional clog workshop where you will learn the ins and outs of clog-making. Next is a visit to the cheese farm where you find out how real Dutch cheeses are made. We can also go into one of the operational windmills. You will experience the power of the wind while enjoying the view of the stunning surroundings from the windmill’s balcony.

Spring (mid-March to early May) brings iconic tulips at Keukenhof and flower fields. Summer (May to mid-August) showcases roses, hydrangeas, sunflowers and more. Late summer and early autumn highlight Dahlia varieties at Keukenhof Castle. Winter offers an indoor tulip experience at Pronk Tulips.
