Uniworld in Amsterdam: Your Ship, Your Berth and Your Free Days

Most Uniworld guests book a private tour for the extra days they have in Amsterdam around their cruise, before boarding or after disembarkation. Uniworld’s boutique super ships, such as the SS Elisabeth, SS Antoinette and SS Victoria, often begin or end their Rhine and Dutch Waterways itineraries in Amsterdam, so a night or two in the city is usually part of the trip. Below you can follow the Uniworld fleet live, check the 2026 and 2027 docking dates and find the exact quay your ship uses.

On those days Amsterdam is yours. We arrange a private guide, and a driver or boat where needed, around your interests: the canals, the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, or a day trip to Keukenhof, Zaanse Schans or Haarlem. No coach, no fixed group, and we help with transfers and restaurant tips too.

Back on board in good time, guaranteed. A Uniworld night in Amsterdam gives us room to breathe, but we still plan to your all-aboard time and keep a margin in hand. Get in touch and we will work to your ship’s schedule.

We know the Uniworld ships. The SS Antoinette, SS Elisabeth and SS Victoria are regulars on our berths, so we know where they tie up and how much time you genuinely have. With a 4.9 rating from thousands of reviews, you are in trusted local hands.

Sailing the Rhine? Low water can change or cancel itineraries at short notice. See our live Rhine water level tracker before you travel.

Uniworld Docking Schedule in Amsterdam

If Amsterdam is a port call mid-itinerary rather than your embarkation night, we build the day around the hours you actually have ashore.

Every Uniworld call below is drawn live from our Amsterdam river cruise calendar, so the dates and berths keep themselves up to date.

Uniworld’s boutique super ships have a relatively shallow draught, but an exceptionally low Rhine can still reshape an itinerary, so it is worth checking the current Rhine water levels before you travel.

Where Uniworld Ships Dock in Amsterdam

Uniworld ships berth centrally in Amsterdam. These are the berths used for Uniworld calls, so you know where your guide will meet you. The exact berth for your sailing is shown in the schedule above.

Uniworld Prints Its All-Aboard Time, So We Can Work Backwards From It

Very few lines publish an all-aboard time per departure. Uniworld does. Most Amsterdam departures show 15:30, which is a genuinely short day, but a handful sit at 21:00, including S.S. Antoinette on Remarkable Rhine and Historic Holland and S.S. Victoria on Holland and Belgium at Tulip Time. Those two are evening-in-Amsterdam sailings, and they should be planned completely differently from the 15:30 ones.

The other useful published detail concerns the final day. Staterooms must be empty by 08:00, but guests are welcome to stay aboard in the public areas until 13:00 or later depending on the schedule. That is a long, comfortable morning to be out with a guide while the ship keeps your cases.

Five Uniworld ships call here in 2026: River Duchess, S.S. Antoinette, S.S. Beatrice, S.S. Elisabeth and S.S. Victoria, with Elisabeth the most intimate at 110 guests and Antoinette and Beatrice around the 150 mark. One River Duchess departure leaves from Zaandam rather than Amsterdam proper, so check your paperwork before you book anything.

Uniworld already includes a great deal, gratuities among it, and butler service in every suite grade. It also lays on a complimentary private car to HOUSE of GASSAN whenever the ship is docked in Amsterdam. What it does not cover is the pre-cruise night, the post-cruise afternoon or a whole day shaped around one interest, and its own Masterpiece Collection experiences are paid add-ons.

Why Book a Private Tour?

Uniworld’s ships are small, so its own excursions are never the cattle-truck experience you get off a big vessel. What they still cannot be is about you. A private day bends to what you actually want, whether that is an unhurried morning in the Rijksmuseum or a slow wander through the Jordaan.

Uniworld guests have usually seen a lot of the world already and tend to be after the story rather than the checklist. That is what our guides do best: context, history and the small details, at the pace of a conversation rather than a timetable.

Because Uniworld itineraries so often start or finish in Amsterdam with a night in the city, most of our Uniworld work is a full day either side of the sailing rather than a squeezed port call. That is the luxury of time, and we build the day around it.

Planning the days either side of your ship? Get in touch and we will shape them around what interests you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Uniworld dock in Amsterdam?

Uniworld’s super ships berth centrally, most often at the Passenger Terminal, at Coenhaven or at Westerdoksdijk, with the occasional call along De Ruijterkade. Your exact berth is shown in the schedule above.

Is a private tour worth it when the cruise is already all-inclusive?

Your fare covers the ship and its own excursions, not a guide who works only for you. Most guests book us for the extra nights in Amsterdam, which the cruise fare does not cover anyway, and for the days they want to spend on their own terms.

Which ships will we see in Amsterdam?

The SS Antoinette, SS Elisabeth and SS Victoria are the regulars here, with the SS Beatrice calling occasionally. The schedule above shows which ship is in on which date.

Can you collect us from the ship or our hotel?

Yes. Your guide meets you at the gangway, the terminal or your hotel, and the whole day runs on your timing.

How far ahead should we book a Uniworld shore excursion?

The sooner the better for spring and peak dates, but we can often arrange a private guide at shorter notice too.
